YouTube niche finder

A good niche has viewers who keep watching and room for a new channel. NicheLab checks both with live public data: type a topic, and it scores demand, opportunity, freshness and competition, then lists the small channels whose videos are beating their size.

The four parts of the Niche Score

Demand
How many views typical videos on the topic get. High demand means people are watching.
Opportunity
How often small channels get videos far above their usual views. This is the clearest sign a new channel can break in.
Freshness
How many channels in the results are young. Young channels winning means the door is still open.
Competition
How much of the views go to very large channels. Lower is better for you.

How to read the result

  • Niche Score 70 or higher is a green niche: worth making. 50–69 means consider it, but look closer.
  • A breakout video is one that gets 3× or more the channel's usual views; 10× or more is viral.
  • Copy the format and angle of breakout videos from small channels, not the channel size of giants.
  • Check the same topic in more than one country: an English version can earn far more per view.
